Source Description

St. Antipas, Bishop of Pergamum, is portrayed here against a floral background with blue enamel. Above him is a small 'Deesis' with the Holy Face in the middle, flanked by the Virgin and John the Baptist. In the book of Revelation, God refers to Antipas as "my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth" (Rev. 2:13).
