Document source description
The prominently horizontal belt and squarish face place this image in a period after the national Cambodian style that developed in the 9th and 10th centuries had an impact upon Dvaravati territories. It is also conceivable that some of the robustness of the facial modeling is indebted to Cham sculptures of the late 9th century.
