Document source description
Princess Iwanaga, in a yet-unidentified play, is on her way to a Shinto shrine in the dead of night in an attempt to bring about the death of a faithless lover. Lighting her way with candles in an iron crown, she must repeat the ritual every night for seven nights at precisely two o'clock. At the shrine she will drive nails into a tree with a hammer while praying for her lover's demise.
