Mitsuuji pays a call on the young ladies of the house after a typhoon has passed. The highest ranking lady, wearing a blue-flowered hair ornament, is modestly hiding herself behind a standing screen.This print is from a series of fifty-four horizontal prints illustrating the chapters of the Edo-period novel "Nise Murasaki Inaka Genji" ("Fake-Murasaki's Country Genji"). Earlier in his career, Toyokuni III had illustrated the original publication of this novel. All the prints in this series have the same brown border design with Genji-mon (crests.)
