The tsuka is dominated with a large dragon menuki on either side. The dragons are framed by clouds. On the kashira, a dragon is shown in waves. Dragons were associated with water and often depicted with clouds or waves. Nine gold family crests ("mon") also decorate the tsuka. This is part of a mounted set.
