Source Description

This is scene is the legendary fight between Benkei and Yoshitsune (also known as Ushiwakamaru) on the Gojô bridge in Kyoto. Benkei had unusual strength, but Yoshitsune had been trained in fighting by mythical mountain demons called "tengu." Benkei was amazed at Yoshitsune's great skill and became his follower. This is part of a set with Walters 51.1053.
