Document source description

This teapot is exceptionally rich in its range of colors and decorative floral motifs. Around the bulbous body of the pot, there are six raised lobes each decorated with a painted with a scene that is repeated on both sides: an exuberantly exotic bird; a seventeenth-century falconer with his falcon; and a deer. On the side and front faces of the spout appear storks. The handle is in raised leaf and floral decoration and terminates in a dolphin's or dragon's head.
