Source Description
Except for a troika scene painted on one face, the bowl of the creamer is cold-painted in matte red enamel resembling in appearance a lacquer. The creamer's handle and spout are in silver gilding. On the silver spout appears the monogram "ON" while on the creamer's bowl opposite the winter scene is "MN". A creamer of the identical shape and with a very similar winter troika scene is part of a service illustrated by Alexander von Solodkoff (Russian Gold and Silverwork, 1981, pp. 48-49, no. 59).
