Source Description

The scent bottle's tapering walls are divided into ten gadroons decorated with varying decorative patterns and background colors, but with each design being repeated only once. This work is a virtual compendium of painted enamel, filigree motifs including Usolsk-type blossoms, pine trees, triangles, recessed dots and squares, wire scrolls and straight wire pendants terminating in raised half-spheres. The bottle's flaring foot is enameled with rectangles and abstract floral motifs over a green background. On its neck, trees in white triangles alternate with pink and green flowers on a blue ground. The stopper screws to lock into place.
