Leaf from a Pocket Bible
A leaf from a type of book produced in vast numbers in the thirteenth century, often in Paris. These books were used by preachers who needed to travel with a complete Vulgate bible. After the Book of Hours, these were the most commonly produced books in the Middle Ages.
