Crossbow Bolt Mounted in a Fan
A bolt is a missile-like object, similar to an arrow but used with a crossbow. It consists of a stout wooden shaft with a conical or pyramidal metal head; leather or wooden vanes are fitted on the end of the shaft to steady the bolt's flight.
