    "description": "Inscribed prayer scrolls were worn as protective devices. They contained prayers against evil and to request wishes as diverse as luck in love, relief from headaches, and the protection of domestic animals. This scroll was copied beautifully in an early nineteenth-century hand. The top of the scroll is decorated with a geometric headpiece, while a standing angel drawing a sword graces the mid-section.",
