Female Head

late 4th-mid 2nd century BCE (Hellenistic) H: 3 in. (7.6 cm) Citation Source image

This head as a hole in the top. The back of the head is split off and above there is an iron nail inserted in the neck. Pink pigments on the proper right side of the face and the neck may be the remains of a flesh-colored pigment (polychromy) but this needs further study.
