Quan Am is the Vietnamese name for manifestation of the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara called Guanyin in China. This sculpture in the round depicts the White-Robed Quan An, whose imagery first emerged in China and spread to other Asian countries, including Vietnam, from there.
