Roman Portrait Head

4th century (Late Antique) H: 3 1/8 in. (8 cm) Citation Source image

The features of this man are comparable to portraits of emperors from the 4th century AD, like Constantine the Great. Their coins and portraits often show them with a laurel wreath, which could also be worn by high government or military officials.
