Source Description
This votive tablet from the Kingdom of Haripunjaya depicts the Buddha with worshippers. The Buddha, in a posture of calling the Earth to witness, sits on a throne supported by elephants and is flanked by a pair of monks with hands raised in homage. The royal worshippers stand at either side. The upper register shows the Buddha seated in meditation flanked by a pair of standing monks.The piece is broken at the top, and is possibly from a mould.
