The execution suggests a 19th-century pice made in imitation of a 16th-century bust. This cast piece is said to be of Vincenza Spinelli, daughter of the Duke of Castrovillani and second wife to Dom Pedro di Toledo, vice-roy of Naples. She was considered a beauty in her day.
