Purchased by William T. Walters, Baltimore, before 1886 (?) [1]; inherited by Henry Walters, Baltimore, 1894; by bequest to Walters Art Museum, 1931.[1] George A. Lucas agenda for 30 March 1886 states that he had a version of ""Levrette rapportant Lievre"" cast by Montaignac from ""WTWs [William T. Walters] and his models."" This could imply that this bronze was in William T. Walters possession by 1886.
