My dear Miss Backus:
We are delighted to receive your letter advising
us that you are again willing to serve as Secretary of the Mirmeapolia,
Minnesota, Local Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service. Please
consider this letter as your official appointment to that office.
Miss Hestad will no doubt turn over the secretary's portfolio, No. 2
card file and other records and supplies to you promptly.
As you are so familiar with the committee work,
it is not necossary for us to send you the usual instructions, but
we are enclosing mimeographed material which has been prepared for
Local Committec officers since you resigned as Secretary in December.
Ne shall look formard to the receipt of the
report of the recent State Committee meeting.
