C.\nDear Mrs. Amick:-\nMiss Reba Beale has been a member of our staff since October 1934.\nMiss Beale ranks as a senior nurse on our Merit Plan. Placement is made on\nthe basis of quality of service, experience in service and special prepara-\ntion in Public Health Nursing. Miss Beale has availed herself of the op-\nportunity to take work in Extension Classes and was given an Association\nScholarship for one semester of work in 1941 - 1942.\nMiss Beale gives excellent nursing care, handles situations nicely, under-\nstands families and is successful in teaching and guiding them. She shows\nno discrimination in working with families and particularly enjoys work with\ncolored.\nShe organizes her district work well, keeps and hands in excellent records\nand reports.\nShe adapts herself quickly to people and situations. She is mature in her\njudgement. She contributes to group discussions and attends outside meetings\nof a professional nature.\nMiss Beale is small, attractive in appearance and well groomed. Her size has\nnot handicapped her in her work. She has a good attendance record and takes\ngood care of her health. She is eager to do her bit in this emergency as she\nis sufficiently free of responsibilities to enable her to volunteer.\nWe will be sorry to have Miss Beale leave U.S. But our Board is sensitive to\nthe need for nurses to serve with the Armed Forces and the Red Cross.
