AR.C.File LETTER En ja- - RECEIVED 30281 JUL 101919 AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS / SOUTHWESTERN DIVISION-ST. LOUIS FOR FILING iu & L , To Miss Elizabeth G. Fox Date July 7, 1919. From Subject 307'8' 5 D in When we attended the conference in Cincinnati, e Mrs. Englad mentioned to me that liss Tinnie Beauchamp) was tre- mendously interested in Arkansas and anxious to be transferred to that State. I discussed very fully with her Miss Beauchamp's position and her obligations to the Sheffield, Alabama, Chapter, and Mrs. Englad assured me that if there was a good opportunity in Arkansas she would take care of the Sheffield situation. Miss Beauchamp, as you probabl know, was at that time on leave and taking the special six course in New York. There seemed to be some question as to whether or not she would return to Sheffield, in any event. Mrs. Englad, Miss Anderson and I discussed the mat- ter together, and with the approval of both of them T wrote to Miss Beauchamp and asked her to take a position as my assistant in Arkansas. There has been considerable shree-cornered corres- pondence, (as I have been out in the Division) between Miss Beau- champ, Miss Anderson and me. The result of this is that Miss Beauchamp came in to the office this morning in the position of my assistant. You doubtless have her credentials and are familiar with her work. I assure you that I am delighted to be able to look forward to taking better care of Arkansas than I could pos- sibly do alone. Miss Anderson and I are both very well impressed with Miss Beauchamp. I am sorry not to have written you sooner in regard to this, but have been so exceedingly busy and the matter has been too unsettled to make 8 definite statement. I shall certainly hope within the next day or two to send you both my Statistical and Narrative report. Cordially yours Director, EP/AB. Bureau of Public Health Nursing. 3 D 2 8
