My dear Miss Bilts:
Miss Mary Turner
, Secretary of the South Bend
Local Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service, has informed
us of your willingness to serve as a member and we are very
glad to send you this official letter of appointment for
the period designated by the Committee.
We regret that it is impossible to send you a copy of our
pamphlet, ARC 710, which outlines the purpose and functions
of the Committees, as it is in the process of revision.
However, we are sending a mimeographed sheet of extracts
which will no doubt serve your purpose until the pamphlet
is ready for distribution.
Although you are undoubtedly familiar with the requirements
for Red Cross enrollment, you will find the pamphlet ARC 703,
helpful in giving other nurses informatinn on this subject.
Your attendance at meetings and your help in other ways will
better enable the Committee to meet the obligations and ro-
sponsibilities it has assumed.
For your information, the following nurses are the officers
of the Local Committee:
