Re: Mrs. Jane Campbell Meyers Bonney, Enrollment # 77,896

Telephone inquiry was received from Miss Bushnell (Home Service
Correspondent) (Extension 548) concerning the whereabouts of Mrs. Jane C.
Bonney. The request came from her husband, Mr. C. J. Bonney, who is with
the Navy and has just reached some mainland port and contacted the American
Red Cross for information as to where his wife is now located.
She was advised to inform Mr. Bonney that Mrs. Bonney is now
employed by the Emergency Medica Service of the Territorial Office
of Civilian Defense in the Territory of Hawaii, in a Civilian Nursing Program.
She received her appointment in October and reported in San Francisco, Calif.
on October 6, 1942. The exact date that she left the mainland is, of course,
not known. Her present address is Huleia Hospital on the Island of Kauai in
the Territory of Hawaii.
As no information has been received to the contrary, we assume
that Mrs. Bonney is well and is now actively participating in the Civilian
Nursing Service.
