My dear Mrs. Higbee:
I am still trying to find a suitable assignment for Miss
Bowman and have been hoping to receive from you or from her a
statement concerning typhoid immunity and smallpox vaccination,
which I understood, you had on file in the office. I am sending
a physical examination blank to Miss Bownan and hope that she
will nake all arrangements and hold herself in readiness tempo-
rarily until I reach some decision in the matter. There are,
as you can well understand, various complications as our local
committees have submitted names for supervisors of their groups,
but a way may be found at the last, and I shall naturally be glad,
to consider Miss Bowman's selection if possible.
