experience Januery 9, 1942 Dear Miss Bowman: B It is so nice of you to think of the nurses and of how much they will need, indeed how much we shall all need, the rest and peuce in between these busy days which your delightful cottage would offer, and I do greatly appreciate your personal good wishes during these difficult times. Your house sounds lovely. I sholl pese your letter on to the staff, and ve are all most grateful to you. Cordially yours, Mary Beard Director Miss J. Beatrice Bowman 510 Baltimore Street Hanover Pennsylvania Carbon with attached note to Eastern Area-- The cottage is near Hampton, Pennsylvania. Mixs Dunbar has suggested that this might be a good place to send any nurses returning from a Unit and needing rest. Miss Bowman is Supt. Navy Nurse Corps, Retired miss Bournaus letter sent to miss Wales 1/23/42
