Knowing what it means to "put
across" an idea to the nursing profession, I feel
W
I would be most unappreciative not to tell you that
your every effort has meant a very great deal to
the Naval Service. It has been no easy task, but
I have known of none more thoroughly undertaken.
We ficulties appreciate of this every start effort in and spreading hope that information the will dif-
concerning government nursing departments but
pave the way for such genial coordination with other
nursing organizations of the American Nurses' Associa-
tions that we will no longer feel like stepchildren.
Letters we receive from the State Associations in
response to our offer to send a speaker to state
groups show interest and desire for information.
It is all cheering and, I am sure, you are pleased
to have so large a part in this drawing together
of such important organizations thus making the
American Nurses' Association a more complete whole.
