My dear Miss Buckland:
We are anxious to have our records concerning
each enrolled Red Cross nurse com lete that each nurae may be prop-
erly classified. de would ap. reciate hearing from you concerning
the work you are now doing and whether or not you are available for
service.
With the cessation of hostilities in France
conditions have changed somewhat as far as the number of nurses needed
is concerned. As long as troops are kept in foreign countries and
in the cantonments in this country, nurses will be required. Many
will probably be needed to replace the nurses now over-seas and the
vacancies will probably be filled from nurses now in the cantonment.
It is expected that many opportunities for service, directly under
the Red Cross will develope in all parts of the world. It is im-
possible, however, under present conditions, for us to state the pro-
bable date when your service will be required and we should also
hesitate to ask you to name a definite date on which you are avail-
able.
May we hope for a prompt reply from you giving
us the information we desire in order that your record may be com-
plete and that we may classify you properly.
