My dear Miss B ckland:
Your letter of recent date has just been received.
May I state that as far as your record in concerned in Siberia that above no
fault could be found with any statement, as you were Trated nuch
the average as far as your nursing ability was concerned and that the
only reason for discontinuing activities was on account of your
actual physical condition.
It would be imposicle for to discuss the situation
intelligently as I have had no opportunity to talk to the supervising
We have always found Miss Harrington fair and just and I feel
Nurse. sure that such action as she took in the matter was baded upon what
she supposed and believed tó be evidences of your physical inability.
Miss Tittman is on her way back and will come to
National Headquarters at thich time I will be glad to take up the
matter with her.
May I thank you for the suggestion regarding the
two skirts instead of one for the suit. 1 have already taten this up
with our Division of Equipment but will send an extrict of your letter
to Mrs. Moody as further evidence making an adegunte.provision in
this direction.
Very truly yours,
Director, Department of Nursing.
