My dear Miss Beattie:
No doubt you read in the paper of the recent death
of Miss Ida F. Butler who for many years was on our nursing
staff at national headquarters.
During her residence in Washington from about 1920
to 1939, she was active in nursing affairs. am not sure but
that she may have been President of the GNA at sometime during
those years. For this reason, I thought pe hapa you might
like to run a little article, of at least an obituary, in the
Quarterly Review. The attached article has been prepared for
our Red Cross Courier and may provide any biographical information
you may need for the Quarterly Revie An case you wish to use it.
