Butler,\n188 Form Street,\nHartford, Conn.\nMy dear Miss Butler:\nYour telegram, stating that you will be ready to egil\nwith the group on March 1st, has just been received.\nYou should report at least three days before the date\nof sailing to Miss Florence Johnson, 44 East 23nd Street, Now\nYork City, in order to receive your uniforms and other equip-\nment. Miss Johnson will also introduce you to the other mom-\nbers of the group and to the nurse who has been selected as\nhead nurse of the group.\nYou will be allowed hotel bill for three days at the rate\nof $3.00 a day while in New York, but you will be expected to\npay your own transportation expenses to New York for which you\nwill be reimbursed at the business office in New York. There-\nfore, may I alk that you secure vouchers and receipts for 0x-\npenditures to present with your bill for expenses.\nI am enclosing a circular of information, giving a detailed\nlist of the equipment given by the Red Cross, and also Instruc-\ntions concerning the passport, which I request that you follow\ncarefully.\nAll business arrangements will be made through Mr. Robert\nBlanchard of the personnel division, who will send you instruc-\ntions and all necessary information in the near futire.\nI am enclosing herewith a physical examination blank,\nwhich I will ask you to have made and return to this office as\npromptly as possible It is essential that we have this on\nfile in this office before we can definitely assign you to the\ngroup sailing on March 1st.\nThanking you for your interest in the Red Cross, I am,\nYours sincerely,\nfor\nLM/A\nDirector, Department of Field Survice."
