D M #694 April 15, 1924. Miss A. Maury Carter, 303 South Washington Street, Alexandria, Virginia. My dear Miss Certer: Your letter of recent date advising us of your reinstatement as a member of your Alumne Association, thereby renewing your affiliation with the American Nurses' Association, is received and we are glad that you have made it possible for us to withdraw our request for your resignation as an American Red Cross nurse. Te understand that ill health is the reason you are not now actively engaged in your profession. Te trust, however, that yourhealth will so improve that it will be possible for you to accept emergeney service in the event of great disaster or emergency in this locality and will ask you to keep in touch with us in regard to this point. Very truly yours, Acting Director, Nursing Service.
