Miss Catania is a private duty nurse. She is also an enrolled
0
R/d Cross nurse, having served in the World War. She states that work has
)een slack, and she feels quite definitely that Red Cross nurses should receive
the same benefits as the nurses receive who served with the Army. I explained
to her that to my knowledge there was no change in our provisions regarding this.
She was anxious to secure work for the summer at the Marine
Hospital, and in order to accommodate her I called the hospital, and received
the information that she could interview the Chief Nurse there any morning
between nine and ten. She wanted to know how to get to the hospital and asked
f.
ne other questions which made me think that she was a very peculiar person.
