My dear Miss Catania:--
I am sorry that you have had to wait so long
for your check. It has at last been sent me by our Department of
Finance and I am enclosing it in this letter. As you may have been
called out of town by the Red Cross for influenza work I think perhaps
it would be wisest to register this letter to make sure you receive it.
