RECEIVED
Miss Clara D. Noyes,
FEB 2 - 1933 -
Reforred to
Chairman ;-
My dear Miss Noyes :-
I do not suppose that you would
recall me, as having been Miss Delano's assistant at
Bellevue Training School, and afterward her assistant
at Washington in the Red Cross work, particularly that
of enrollment.
Lately, Jan.lst, 1933, I lost a position held for
15 years in the Pep't of Health in this city, among
3,000 others,-the elderly, efficient, who were getting
near the pension line,-- all for economic reasons. I am
elderly, but in splendid health and vigor, and left the
lastof my family of thirteen, after two years of great
financial loss, and bereavement by the death of three,
my nearest relatives.
I wonder if the Red Cross could give me any
employment ? I have spent the last thirteen years iner
almost wholly at high-grade clerical or editorial work
for which I have many references.
