I do think you were quite wise to urge her to take MRS. WILLIAM FURNESS JENKS MRS. MORRIS J. LEWIS the nine months' course - the shorter one is really so limited as MRS. SAMUEL D. LIT to be almost undstisfactory for anyone with as much background as MRS. JOSEPH McFARLAND Miss Clay. We are making it our routine policy to strongly urge MRS. JAMES A. MUNDY those educationally equipped to take the long course. MRS. ADOLPH G. ROSENGARTEN MRS. FRANCIS T. STEWART MISS ANNE HAMPTON TODD In regard to your suggestion about Miss Clay's MRS. JAMES D. WINSOR, JR. getting credit for case work, I think she should get some credit but probably not complete credit, as her hospital social service Medical Advisory Committee case work was not as general nor as intensive as that given under CHARLES A. FIFE, M.D. M. HOWARD FUSSELL, M.D. the Society. JOHN H. GIBSON, M.D. RICHARD C. NORRIS, M.D. I am enclosing a copy of a letter sent to DAVID RIESMAN, M.D. Margaret Tucker which may not have reached her before she left home.
