My dear Mrs. Clay:-
I wish to acknowledge receipt of five Christmas
packages, including your own, for your deughter, Miss Josephine Clay,
now on duty in France. These were whipped from this office on the
7th and I feel sure will reach their destination by Christmas.
Thanking you for your prompt response to my letter,
