Ci a J. 0 S 6 T 5 January 30, 1915. 5 D Miss Josephine A. Clay, The Margrave, 20th and Chestnut Sts., Philadelphia, Pa. My dear Miss Clay: Your letter just received and there is a possibility that we may be sending some nurses to France about the middle of February. The physical exemination blank was sent to you in December, but has not as yet been returned. It will be absolutely necessary for us to have the result of your physical examination before we can consider you for service abroad. We also require the immunity treatment for typhold, but I should not advise you to begin this until after your physical examination has been passed upon. I have already written to Miss Francis in regard to this, but am writing to you direct in reply to your letter received this morning. Yours sincerely, Chairman National Committee Red Cross Nursing Service. D-A.
