    "ocrText": "August 18, 1945\nMrs. Dorothy W. Conrad\n1340 Ask Street\nDenver, Colorado\nDear Mrs. Conrad:\nI am enclosing the code instructions which have just come in from\nDr. Triggs. I called Dr. MeGuire thinking I would send it over to him and\nget his comments and see whether it was necessary to send it to you. I find\na\nhe has also received a copy. I have not checked but I think this means\n+\ncopies have gone to Mr. Love as well. I have not been over this as I did\nnot feel that I could plunge into it and be of any help.\nI am also enclosing the letter from Dr. Triggs although I would\nnot send it if it were not for the other. I think I know now why she is\ninterested in having all states punched. She is thinking of having before\nher the full record of the nurse's registration so that if the nurse is\nconsidered for a certain position she can see the state in which she is\nalready registered, which would be of significance under those conditions\nalthough not entirely vital.\nI have told Dr. McGuire that the change in the war has made this\nmaterial on the released nurses extremely ragent and that both the Army and\nthe Cadet Corps have already been on our heels since youleft. Colonel\nBlanchfield has to know the information which will enable her to see how\nbest to approach the question of maintaining a permanent corps of about\n15,000 nurses. Dr. McGuire is going to jack up on the proper people. The\nfact that the offices were closed two days this week has probably delayed\nthe pay checks, etc., which will in turn delay us.\nI\nSincerely yours,\nI\nVirginia M.
