Miss Gertrude Madley,

M
Chief Nurse,
American Red Cross-
Harvard Hospital Unit,
Washington, D. C.
Dear Miss Madley:
Thank you for your letters of January 29th and
30th. I came home after 1 rinished my work with Henry
Street on January 3lst. I plan to stay here until the
tenth and then to drive to Michigan to visit friends and
to dispose of my car through the dealer from whom I
purchased it. Before I left New York Miss Phillips told
me that I would be on the Red Cross pay roll beginning
February lst. I appreciate this, because otherwise, I should
be short of funds.
The following is the information that you
requested:
Full name - Edna Mabel Cree
Age - 33
Religion - none.
Nearest relatives:
1. Mother - Mrs. Gertrude Cree, Colebrook, N. H.
2. Brother - Leighton Cree, Pearl River, N. Y.
will you please send communications other than
the notice of my arrival in England to my brother? My
salary may be paid to him. Also, my uniforms may be sent
to his address.
The tailor at Smith-Gray's measured me for shirt
size. Neck - 13, length of sleeve 31, bust 40, yoke 16%.
A boy's shirt does not fit me too well because I have to buy one
with a. 14 neck size to have the rest of it large enough.
My address in Michigan will be c/o Miss Vivian
Drenckhahn, 461 West Van Buren St., Battle Creek. I am send-
ing my itinerary for the next few weeks to Miss Phillips and
5
will notify her of any change in my plans. I hope that there
will not be too long a delay before we can leave.
3
"incerely yours,
(Signed:)
Edna M. Cree
