Dear Miss Madley:
I am free to accept an appointment with the
American Red Cross-Harvard Hospital Unit. When I was
employed by the Henry Street Visiting Nurse Service
it was understood that, if I had the opportunity of
going to Europe with the Red Cross, I might be released.
Miss Blaisdell, Personnel Director, asked me not
to the decision before carefully considering the
effect it have on my work in the
suggestion make might future. the something N.O.P.H.N. At her I
I went to see Miss Deming at
office. And now, that I still feel it is
wish to do, Miss Blaisdell is willing that I should go.
I have not been able to talk with Miss Phillips
since. However, I left a message for her and I shall try
to telephone her again tomorrow morning.
