I an handing you herewith the application of Kies Jana
Dalano, who for nine years has been the Director of the
Department of Nursing of the American Red Cross.
In view of the position which dise Delano occupies, I Teel
very cenfident that the Far Department vill not foal it necessary
a
to naka the usual investigation with respect to her loyalty
and I an asking you to scept in lieu thereof, tso letters, one
from Mr. George z. Scott, General "anager of the Red Croas, and
the other Eliot Yadeworth, its Vice-Chairman.
Miss Delano hopes to sail in the course of a very few days
on official business and her prompt clearance will be very -
appreciated.
