DETAID, Mr. Nunree - General Manager's office. January 15, 1919. Mr. N. D. Smith, Director - Bureau of Foreign Personnel. Miss Jane A. Delano:- I send you herewith correspondence reseived as the result of my investigation of the rumor that Miss Jane A. Delano, Director - Departaant of Aursing, National Headquarters, was put to considerable troublè and inconvenience in securing her pass- port, eventually find it at the Y. K. C. A. in New York City. This correspondence clearly indicates that the Depart- ment of Personnel at National Headquarters, or at its Branch office at 222 Fourth Avenue, New York City, was in no wise responsible. May I ask you to retura this correspondence when you have finished with it? IDS.C Rec.
