My dear Mr. Staub:
I do not wonder that you were surprised to receive my telegram.
Mr. Walling must have misunderstood, for he definitely stated that you had
said nothing about the change of date, and as he was most anxious that
the meetings should be held on the same day if possible, he suggested that
1, communicate with you without delay.
I can only explain it by the fact that Mr. Walling has a great
deal on his mind and must have overlooked the question.
