Dear General Iroland:
There are a numbor of officers connected with the Surgeon General's
Office whom we would like to have on the stage at the momorial services for
Miss Deleno. I thought of Goneral Winter and I believe General Ennes, whom
I do not know but who crossed on the steamer with Miss Delano; Colonel DeLaney;
Colonel Robert Patterson and Colonel Comore, You probably could givo me the
names of some others who knew Miss Delano and would be glad to be present at

thismeeting. I would like to know also which of those officors have wives

to whom we could send a card for the boxes. We will send one to Mrs. Iroland.
I know there is Ennes, Mrs. Delaney, urs Connors I Jnow that Colonel
Patterson has lost his wife and I do not know whether General Winter is married
or not. If you would send me these names as soon as possible we will be
very glad to have thome
