Miss Anna W. Kerr,
Minnequa Hill,
Canton, Pa.
My dear Miss Kerr:
while at Bellevue, Thursday,
Quite accidentally /L came across the names
of Miss Delano's father and mother when reading either
Carlisle's book on "War Menorials" I think it is called.
2
Incidently in that he gave the date of Miss
8
Delano's birth as 1858. I again asked Miss Rottman about the
records, and ehe replied - that she had examined with the
utmost care Miss Delano's application blank, in which she
gave the date of birth as - March 26, 1858.
While I think no effort should be made to
correct this, inasmuch as this date appears on her tombstone,
still I a.m at loss to understand why the confusion has arisen.
Thanking you, I am
Very sincerely yours,
Clara whoses
