COPY November 1, 1921. Miss Mabel Boardman, 1801 P Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. My dear Miss Boardman: 192 I have received your letter of October 3lst, and regret that you are still ill and unable to take up the work of the Delano Memorial, for we need the co-operation of every member in order to complete the memorial at an early date. I am enclosing with this another one of the 9 circulars, by which you will see it was a portrait statue, and there has been no change in the original idea. 2 8 There are a number of questions which I think very essential to take up with you a.s representative of the Red Cross on this Committee: If the monument is to be placed in the Red Cross grounds, is Congressional consent necessary? If not, can we get the approval of the Executive Committee in writing? I am preparing to call a meeting of the Washington Committee, and would appreciate greatly if it would be possible for you to furnish that information before the meet- ing of this committee. Very sincerely, Lucy Minnigerode, LM: EM Chairman,Delano Memorial Committee.
