My dear Miss Noyes:
Thank you for the article on Jane A. Delano. There are a few details
which we should like to have you supply. First, the names of her parents

and some information about her early education, then the dates and exact
titles of the books which she wrote, and finally, specific titles for the
sources of information which you give. We are insisting upon these details
wherever they can be ascertained.
Your article is very considerably longer than we planned for, chiefly
I think because you have added so nuch information about the organization of
the Red Cross. I think the last paragraph on page two and the last para-
graph on page three could well be omitted.
