The General Board also presented to the four members of the War Council who were present the special Daniel Chester French medal authorized at its last meeting in recognition of their war service. These were Eliot Wadsworth, Cornelius N. Bliss, Jr., George E. Scott and Charles D. Norton. The eight other members of the War Council who will receive the medal are Henry P. Davison, chairman; William Howard Taft; George B. Case, Jesse H. Jones, Edward N. Hurley, John D. left Ryan, Grayson M-P Murphy, and Harvey D. Gibson, The present officers of the Society were re-elected for the ensuing year. They are President Wilson, president; Robert W. de Forest and William Howard Taft, vice-presidents; John Skelton Williams, treasurer; William L, Frier- son, counselor; Miss Mabel T. Boardman, secretary. At the annual meeting of the Incorporators of the American Red Cross Miss Mabel T. Boardman and John Bassett Moore were re-elected to membership on the Central Committee. Mrs. August Belmont and Franklin K, Lane, members of the Central Committee elected by chapter delegates, were re-elected for terms of three years. Under the terms of its by-laws, the Central Committee of the American Red Cross, the governing body of the organization, is composed of 18 members, six of whom are chosen by the President of the United States, six elected by the in- corporators and six elected by the chapter delegates who assemble in Washington annually. The Central Committee, in its annual session, elected Miss Mabel T. Boardman to membership on the Executive Committee. Rear Admiral Edward R. Stitt was elected to membership on the Executive Committe; succeeding Rear Admiral Braisted, retired. #####
