My dear Miss Denny:
Your letter recently received and there seems to be little
possibility of our sending any additional nurses to Europe.
In our previous
correspondence I gave you the real reason for our failure to consider you for
service , and 1 can scarcely understand how you expected to have an exception
made through the influence of the Surgeon General.
