Alabama's first Red Cross nurse celebrated her 86th birthday recently,
doing the things she likes best to do. First, she donned her Red Cross uniform
and then she proudly recalled her experiences of 50 years as a Red Cross nurse.
To Miss Linna H. Denny, now living with a sister at Allgood, Ala., the

a group of nurses from Birmingham. For her outstanding service during the disaster

executive board, and also was secretary of the chapter for a while. Now she is an
honorary life member of the chapter.
